Faith and determination

Great startups and businesses  are essentially about people who have faith and determination,  courage and endurance to go alone. Faith and determination are the real capital of a startup.

The dedication of a true entrepreneur needs to be unconditional. There are no ifs and buts to creating a new venture.

Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton (1874-1922), Anglo-Irish Antarctic explorer. In 1909 he led his own expedition to Antarctica, nearly reaching the South Pole and climbing Mount Erebus, the world’s southernmost active volcano. In 1915 his ship the Endurance was crushed by ice in the Weddell Sea; with five of his crew he rowed 1300 km in a lifeboat to the island of South Georgia to bring relief.

A founder must be willing to go against any current and any storm. That is the spirit that generates success.

Any startup idea that a founder believes can be realized only through money and investment is dead on arrival.

Only the most determined and resilient succeed. The ship of Sir Ernst Shackleton and his men. He returned and rescued all his men.

Only a feverish and passionate self belief and determination to achieve the goal takes a startup toward success.
